今年度は研究最終年度にあたり、大きくふたつの成果を得た。ひとつめは、冒険遊び場の運営に携わっているスタッフを対象とした講義とワークショップを開催したことである。平成21年度にロンドンのアドベンチャープレイグラウンドの視察結果および同年度に作成した研究成果報告書(リスクマネジメントを促進するワークショップ研究)を用いて実施することができた。冒険遊び場の運営に携わる実践者は、経験や勘に頼ることが多いため、海外の事例を正確に伝えることには大きな成果があった。その事例を題材にしながら実施したワークショップは、実践者それぞれの抱える課題とは距離があったが、そのことが客観的なリスクの認識につながり、学習成果に手応えを感じた。もうひとつは、平成21年度のロンドンへの研究調査について、専門情報誌のひとつである「社教情報」((社)全国社会教育委員連合)に投稿し、50年以上の歴史をもつランベス地区の冒険遊び場について報告した。「十年後の日本の姿を映すロンドンの子ども事情」というタイトルの通り、ロンドンにおいて現在深刻さを増している子どもを取り巻く問題が、日本でもそう遠くない前方から近づいていることの警鐘は反響を呼んだ。本研究課題への取組は、研究関心のみならず、筆者のフィールドワーク・地域活動と密接に関わっていることもあって、研究成果を比較的速やかに実践に生かすことができた。冒険遊び場に携わる実践者とのネットワークによって、期待以上の成果を得る部分もあった。実践活動に根ざした研究活動を今後とも継続していく必要性を強く感じた研究でもあった。
