Research and Development of a System Supporting Face-to-face Communication Using Location Sensing

To develop a system supporting face-to-face communication, we design a name resolution middleware using relative location information to support wireless visible area communication, and prototype an application. The middleware provides the ability to specify a neighboring target host by using not only its name but also its relative location. We also propose a mutual authentication method for a neighboring host, activity recognition methods of mobile device users, and localization schemes in wireless LAN environments.
