Basic study of development of a new artificial hip joint using shape memory alloy

本研究的目的是研制使用形状记忆合金(SMA)的全髋关节置换术。通过有限元方法和体外实验证明其具有良好的初始稳定性。因此，本研究从理论(有限元分析)和实验(体外实验)两个方面展示了采用SMA的THA的有效性。此外，还建立了进行研究的装置。

The purpose of the present study was to develop total hip replacement (THA) using shape-memory alloy (SMA). Finite element method and in vitro experiments were conducted to represent the excellent in initial stability of it. As a result, the effectiveness of THA that used SMA from both sides of theoretical (finite element analysis) and experimental (in vitro experiment) was able to be shown in the present study. In addition, the device to research was established.
