A survey on the sites of the Yoshioka Copper Mine and digital archive of historical materials for public exhibition.

I have been looking for and collecting historical materials about the Yoshioka Copper Mine in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture and archiving the data digital over the past three years. During three years' research, I found that the document written by Mr. Otsuka, the manager of the Yoshioka Copper Mine in Fukiya, the single most important historical one, had been preserved in Tokyo. In 2011, I succeeded with sitting at the negotiation table with the present manager of the Otsuka family on archiving the historical materials. Since March 2012, the following materials have been archived ; old photographs of the mine, plans of facilities, the drawings of galleries and shafts of mine, drawings of the construction plan of the railway. Preserving the above materials into the database has been going on at Takahashi Historical Museum. The photographs, plans and other materials are to be used as the exhibits for the museum of the Yoshioka Copper Mine.
