Noninvasive cerebral blood flow measurements using arterial spin labeling(ASL) in MRI and amyloid PET imaging using^<11> C-PiB corrected for partial volume effects were investigated as novel methods for imaging diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. A software program was developed to statistically analyze an ASL image for a patient as compared with normal database constructed from healthy volunteers. Partial volume correction of amyloid PET image led to accurate quantification of amyloid accumulation in atrophied cerebral cortex in Alzheimer's disease.
