Educational methods for developing risk prediction ability in nursing students

本研究旨在了解以大学护理技能实习与授课为主的护生一、二年级的风险预测能力特点，并探讨将Kiken Yochi训练（KYT）引入护生教育的方法。学生能够预测偏离基本原则或基于视觉信息的风险，但不能充分预测基于患者病理特征与护理技能的关系的风险。在讲座中介绍风险情况，并在实习后立即进行KYT，增加了学生对护理事故类型和风险因素的理解。

This study aimed to clarify the characteristics of risk prediction ability in first-and second-year nursing students who are primarily taught through university-based nursing skill practice and lectures, and to investigate methods for introducing Kiken Yochi Training(KYT) into this educational program. Students were able to predict risk due to deviation from basic principles or based on visual information, but were unable to sufficiently predict risk based on the relationship between patients' pathological characteristics and nursing skills. Presentation of risk situations during lectures and KYT conducted immediately after practice increased student understanding of types of nursing accidents and risk factors.
