(1)ジェーン・アラシェフスカ氏は、来日後、斎藤の大学院ゼミで、これまでの「民俗音楽」研究の経過、成果などについての報告を行なった。またそのときに先行研究である本田安次氏によって公刊された、伊豆諸島南部の巫女祭文を解読し、そのなかでとくに、高知県物部村のいざなぎ流祭文との類似点が見出される「呪詛の祭文」の精密の解読を進めた。その結果、いざなぎ流の祭文とほぼ同様な表現があること、また陰陽道系の呪符などには、近世社会に流布した『大雑書』の引用があることが確認された。(2)以上の研究成果にもとづいて、2010年6月25日に立命館大学で行なわれたSOASの日本宗教研究センター主宰のシンポジウム「祈祷と占い」での研究発表を行った。その発表については、中世宗教研究者である阿部泰郎氏、伊藤聡氏からも高い評価を得ることができた。とくに阿部氏からは『大雑書』の引用については、愛知県「奥三河の花祭り」との接点なども指摘されて、ジェーン・アラシェフスカ氏の研究の広がりを再確認することができた。(3)その後、中世の祭文、神楽に関する先行研究である岩田勝氏の『神楽源流考』などの著作をめぐって斎藤との共同研究によって、伊豆諸島南部の巫女祭文の研究が、中世の祭文、神楽の問題へと展開すべきことを指示した。(4)さらに2010年10月7日から11月15日までの長期にわたる伊豆諸島、とくに青ヶ島におけるフィールドワーク行なった。そのなかで10月20日の「船頭の祭り」、21日の「東台所神社の祭り」の祭祀を見学し、計十二時間におよぶ映像記録を撮影した。また25日には、広江清子巫女の自宅で行われた「天神祭り」を取材し、十時間におよぶ映像記録を撮影した。さらに青ヶ島村で行われた巫女の土葬儀礼を見学し、取材を行なった。一方、東台所神社、奥山家、広江家、佐々木家などの巫女・神職関係者が所蔵する祭文資料を収集し、その撮影を行なった。(5)今後は蒐集した祭文資料などをデジタル化して、できれば公刊することをめざす。また中世の祭文、神楽研究のテーマからは、とくに仏教との関わりが「念仏」読誦の問題として浮上したこと、さらにいざなぎ流や奥三河花祭りなどに見られる「浄土神楽」との接点がどのようにあるかが今後の研究課題として残されている。また蒐集した祭文中に見られる修験道儀礼、呪符との繋がりの解読も来年度における研究課題となった。
