项目摘要

平成23年度において、これまでと同様に研究を順調に進展させた。具体的には「足利将軍家と笙」(『日本歴史』766 2012)、「足利義嗣の元服」(『東京大学史料編纂所研究紀要』22 2012)を発表し、また近々に「北山殿行幸再考」(『年報中世史研究』37 2012)、「義詮期における足利将軍家の変質」(『鎌倉遺文研究』29 2012)が公刊されることとなっている。一年間に4本の論文発表は研究者として十分すぎる成果であり、また、鎌倉遺文研究会にて「義詮期における足利将軍家の変質」(2011年6月24日早稲田大学文学部第2会議室)、中世史研究会(名古屋)にて「足利義材の近江出陣と笙」(2012年2月28日国鉄会館7階「桜・梅」)と2本の口頭報告を行い、更には書評として「書評と紹介桃崎有一郎著『中世京都の空間構造と礼節体系』」(『日本歴史』757 2011)を公表した。「足利将軍家と笙」においては、一九九〇年代より盛んになっている雅楽史を政治史に絡めて考究するという研究動向を踏まえ、それらの諸研究における不備を指摘するとともに、室町時代における雅楽(笙)と将軍家の関係について、その全体像を明らかにした。「足利義嗣の元服」と「北由殿行幸再考」は、姉妹編とも言える内容である。ともに、足利義嗣という存在、すなわち足利義満の庶子について、改めて、その政治的位置づけを考え直した。さらに、「義詮期における足利将軍家の変質」は、本研究課題が「室町時代における公武関係の研究」と銘打っていることを鑑みたとき、最も成果として重視すべき内容となっている。上述の三本の論考は、どちらといえば、既存の「室町時代における公武関係の研究」に存在する誤りを是正し、不足分を補填するという要素が少なくなかったのに対し、本稿は、既存の枠組みを正面から全面的に書き換えることを意図した内容となっている。また、口頭報皆や書評についても、室町時代の公武関係を考究したものである。
