项目摘要

4月にイギリスで行われた国際学会、International Conference on Tense,Aspect,Modality and Evidentialityにおいて、アミ語の動詞・名詞と状態アスペクトの関係について学会発表を行った。ここではフィールド調査によって得たデータをもとに、品詞とアスペクトの関係について論じた。その後帰国してすぐに、浜松で行われた学会The English Linguistic Society of Japan 4^<th> International Spring Forumに参加し、アミ語のデータも交えた複数の言語における使役文の特徴について、類型論的な研究発表をおこなった。また、5月には東京外国語大学で行われた第1回文法研究ワークショップ「『形容詞』をめぐる諸問題」で、上記のイギリスで発表した内容に改訂をくわえたものの発表を行った。7月には香港で行われたAssociation for Linguistic Typology 9^<th> Biennial Conferenceで、「雨降り」「肩たたき」などの複合語や、名詞を動詞に組み込む「抱合」と言われる現象について発表を行った。これらの現象では自動詞の主語と他動詞の目的語のみが許容され、他動詞の主語は許容されないという現象が世界各地の言語で見られる。この発表ではなぜそのような現象が世界の言語で現れるのか、その原因について考察を行った。11月には第143回言語学会において、『アミ語の母音連続と挿入規則』というタイトルの口頭発表を行った。この発表では、フィールド調査で得たデータをもとに、従来音素として考えられてきたアミ語の声門閉鎖音を音素ではないと分析し、音素同士の関係と挿入規則のみで声門閉鎖音の存在を説明する試みを行った。また、上記の発表活動と並行して、手持ちのデータの分析(音声データの書き起こしなど)と、博士論文の執筆を行った。
