项目摘要

本研究では,ベイズ型推論課題の解決におけるコンピテンス要因とパフォーマンス要因の影響を区別した。コンピテンス要因とは,課題の解決に不可欠な課題解決者の知的操作である。パフォーマンス要因とは,知的操作の働きに影響を与えると考えられる課題解決者の既有知識や課題の親近性,課題内容等である。当該年度に実施した研究の具体的内容は,以下の通りである。ベイズ型推論課題に見出される(a)最もプリミティブな判断から最も高次の正判断に至るまでの推論様式の多様性と,(b)「形式的な課題」と「主題化された課題」の間にみられる推論様式の多様性とを認知発達的観点から包括的に説明した。「形式的な課題」とは,「課題構造」は維持しながらも「課題内容」は可能な限り単純化することによって,課題解決者のコンピテンスが結果にダイレクトに反映されるようにした課題である。「主題化された課題」とは,課題内容に富んだ,パフォーマンス要因の影響を受けやすい課題を指している。当該年度の研究は,Kahnemanらによる2つのシステム(System 1・System 2)を想定する二重過程理論(Kahneman & Frederick,2002)の問題点を克服し,ベイズ型推論課題に見出される基準率無視を含む様々な誤判断と正判断の出現メカニズム(多様性(a))と,「形式的な課題」と「主題化された課題」にみられる判断タイプの出現メカニズム(多様性(b))とを,確率量化操作の発達という観点から包括的に説明できるようになったという点で,意義および重要性をもっているのではないかと考えられる。
