昨年度に引き続き,90年代以降の日本の賃金・退職金の決定メカニズムおよび雇用調整のあり方に関して実証的に分析した,本年度は主に2つの研究を行った.まず,企業内賃金構造と退職金および雇用との関係について,特に90年代における大企業の高卒ブルカラー長期勤続者を中心に分析し,以下の暫定的な結果が得られた.インセンティブ仮説によれば賃金と退職金はトレードオフの関係にあるが,本研究では固定効果推定法を用いて欠落変数バイアスを除去した上でも,賃金と退職金の間には正の相関が部分的に検出された.これは,日本の退職金は賃金と連動して決定されるという制度的特徴が強いことを示唆する.また他の条件を一定とした下で,退職金と平均勤続年数の間に負の相関があることや,企業の赤時期に退職金が増加することが部分的に観察されるなど,90年代には割増退職金等による雇用調整の実施という退職金の離職促進効果が存在した可能性も示唆された,本研究には仮説検証を行うために必要な情報量を十分に得ることが困難である等の問題点もあるため,今後も注意深く研究を継続していくことが課題である.次に,上記の研究は内部労働市場のミクロ的な分析を主眼としているが,外部労働市場やマクロ経済との相互依存関係を把握することも必要であると考え,マクロ的な分析を行った.労働市場セクターを正規雇用と非正規雇用に分け,各々の賃金調整と雇用調整を内生化した四半期マクロ計量モデルを作成して,各種シミュレーション実験等を行った.比較的コンパクトなモデルではあるものの,90年代以降のマクロ経済と労働市場(内部・外部)との関係や,賃金上昇政策等の効果を考える上で参考となるようなマクロ計量モデルのプロトタイプを作成した。今後の課題は,他の方程式の追加,データの期間拡張,推定方法の改良などのモデルの精緻化である.本年度のこれら2つの研究成果は,現在論文に取り纏めている.
