Fused aid for diagnosis and treatment of colorectal polyps based on integration of multiple image information

We investigated in a computer system for assisting both diagnosis and therapy of the colorectal polyps. We obtained the following outcomes ; (1) Development and implementation of a computer aided diagnosis of colorectal polyps from CT images, (2) development of an algorithm for measuring the colonoscope's position in a patient body, (3) generation of navigation information to guide the colonoscope to a target polyp, and (4) development of a prototype system for assisting image diagnosis and therapy of colorectal polyps.
