Empirical Research of the Change of Communality in Local Community Caused by Heisei Municipal Merger

本研究旨在分析平成市町村合并后，地方社区的公共性变化。首先，居民对合并的意见与居住年限和居民的劳动生活区域有关。第二，合并的支持者倾向于认识到合并所带来的公共性变化的积极一面，而合并的反对者倾向于认识到合并所带来的公共性变化的消极一面。第三，在合并取得进展的都道府县，学校数量减少，但社会教育设施的数量没有减少太多。

The purpose of this study is to analyze the change of communality in local community caused by Heisei municipal merger. First, residents' opinions on the merger are related to the years of residence and the residents' labor-life area. Second, supporters to the merger tend to realize the positive side of the change of communality caused by the merger, and opponents to the merger tend to realize the negative side of the change. Third, in the prefectures that merger has progressed, the number of schools is decreased, however the number of social educational facilities is not reduced too much.
