项目摘要

本研究の目的は、アルジェリア・ウラマー協会(1931-57年)に関して、(1)文献調査に基づく思想の分析、(2)文書史料、文献資料に加えてフィールド調査の成果を取り入れた社会活動の分析を行うことである。以下、項目ごとに本年度の研究成果を述べる。(1)思想の分析。まず、近代のイスラーム思想、運動に関する各国語研究書の購入を行い、研究状況を整理し、アルジェリアの事例をイスラーム思想史全体に位置づける作業の準備とした。一次史料の精読による分析で得られた成果は、上智大学イスラーム地域研究機構(SOIAS)による文部科学省「特色ある共同研究拠点の整備の推進事業」公募研究「イスラーム社会の世俗化と世俗主義」の平成23年度第一回研究会(7月3日)において、「アルジェリア・ウラマー協会における政教関係-『権威ある地位にある人々(ulual-amr)』の解釈をめぐって-」として口頭発表した。また、3月5日から16日まで行ったフランスでの調査において、フランス外交文書館(Paris郊外La Courneuve)にてウラマー協会の海外(主にエジプト)での活動についての文書史料調査を行ったほか、言語・文明大学図書館(Paris)ではウラマー協会に強い思想的影響を与えたエジプトのアラビア語雑誌『ファトフ』を閲覧・精読した。この調査により、エジプトのイスラーム思想の影響の具体的様相が明らかになった。(2)社会活動の分析。(1)同様、研究書の購入と同時代のイスラーム運動に関する先行研究の整理を行った。宗教施設におけるウラマー協会の宣教活動を分析した成果を、日本中東学会第27回年次大会(京都大学、5月22日)において「モスクから議会へ、議会からモスクへ:第二次大戦後のアルジェリアにおける政教分離法適用問題とウラマー協会の『政治化』」として口頭発表した。なお、日程上の都合で、研究実施計画に記したアルジェリアにおける1か月の調査は行うことができず、上記のフランスでの2週間の調査に代えることになった。
