项目摘要

本研究の目的は,視覚情報から形成された感性情報が視覚的短期記憶に及ぼす影響について検討することであり,「感性情報の発生メカニズムの解明」,「記憶表象における感性情報の影響」及び「発達・臨床・教育分野への応用可能性」の3つの観点から検討する。本年度は,「発達・臨床・教育分野への応用可能性」として,感性特性が視覚的短期記憶に及ぼす影響に関する応用研究を行なった。対象は健常大学生であり,自閉症傾向質問紙の得点によってサンプリングされた「自閉症傾向高群」及び「自閉症傾向低群」であり,記憶課題(変化検出課題)と知能検査(WAIS-IIIの動作性)が課された。記憶課題は,変化検出課題を用い,実験刺激である白色線分が「単純な空間的形状」に配置される場合と「複雑な空間的形状」に配置される場合があった。実験参加者の課題は,記憶画面とテスト画面に提示される線分の傾きを比較し,傾きが同じか違うかを反応することであった。知能検査は,群間の視覚能力を統制するために用いた。結果から,低得点群では,空間的形状の複雑さが視覚的短期記憶に影響を及ぼすことが分かったが,高得点群では,空間的形状の複雑さは視覚的短期記憶に影響を及ぼさなかった。つまり,低得点群においては,空間位置情報処理と物体構造処理との機能的関連が推測されるが,高得点群においては,空間位置情報処理と物体構造処理との機能的関連の弱いことが推測できる。特に,記憶画面が十分に符号化できる時間特性(900ms)において,群間の差が得られたことから,群間の差は,物体が符号化された視覚処理段階において見られることも分かった。さらに,群間の視覚能力には差がないことも示され,群間の差は自閉症傾向の違いであり,視覚能力の違いではないことも確認された。これらの結果は,自閉症者が,知覚情報どうしの統合に困難を示す中枢統合の脆弱性仮説(Fri嵐1989)と一致する。
