In northern Laos there are many endangered languages with less than 10, 000 speakers. However, most of such languages had had no or few previous descriptions when this study started. The purpose of this study is to document such languages. This study has collected data of about 20 languages, including Then(514 people), Iduh(649 people), Kongsat(Suma, about 100 speakers).

在老挝北部，有许多濒危语言，使用者不到10,000人。然而，当这项研究开始时，大多数这样的语言都没有或很少有以前的描述。这项研究的目的是记录这些语言。这项研究收集了大约20种语言的数据，包括THEN(514人)、Iduh(649人)、Kongsat(Suma，约100人)。
