Reliability of Japanese official statistics was analyzed. Especially 2010 population census was investigated through interviews of people engaged in the actual process of data collection, and the overall reliability of the results is evaluated. As for the 2011-13 economic census, completeness of the population list is shown to be vital for its reliability, and importance of availability of administrative intimation is pointed out. Flexibility and maneuverability of statistics are also important for the usefulness of statistics.

对日本官方统计数据的可靠性进行了分析。特别是2010年人口普查，通过对实际数据采集过程中的人员进行访谈，评估结果的整体可靠性。对于2011-13年经济普查，人口名单的完整性对其可靠性至关重要，并指出了行政信息可用性的重要性。统计的灵活性和可操作性对于统计的有用性也很重要。
