Screening of new reactions for lipid conversion and development of production processes for functional lipids

我们对丝状真菌高山被孢霉（Mortierella alpina）进行了相关研究，该真菌产生富含花生四烯酸和二十碳五烯酸等有益脂肪酸的微生物油脂。首先，我们构建了该真菌的基因操作系统，并通过代谢工程提高了油脂生产能力。这种污渍不仅积累有益的脂肪酸，而且还积累独特的固醇。其次，我们评估了参与甾醇生物合成途径的酶基因，以通过分子育种提高该真菌的甾醇产量。

We worked on the research related with filamentous fungus Mortierella alpina which produces microbial oils rich in beneficial fatty acids such as arachidonic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid. First, we constructed a gene manipulation system of this fungus and enhanced the lipid productivities by metabolic engineering. This stain accumulates not only beneficial fatty acids but also unique sterols. Second, we evaluated enzyme genes involved in sterol biosynthetic pathways to improve sterol productivities by molecular breeding of this fungus.
