An analysis of an envelope membrane protein that is involved in plant morphogenesis

CRL蛋白与参与质体蛋白质输入的蛋白质相互作用，也与参与应激反应的蛋白质相互作用。这表明CRL可能通过这些蛋白的功能参与植物的形态建成。含CRL囊泡是质体外被膜的单层膜结构。CRL的氨基末端部分是CRL囊泡定位所必需的。除了小泡和质体，CRL定位于线粒体。

CRL protein interacts with a protein involved in plastid-protein import and also with one involved in stress response. This suggests that CRL could be involved in plant morphogenesis through functions of these proteins. CRL containing vesicle is suggested to be a single membrane structure containing outer envelope of plastids. The amino terminal portion of CRL is required for vesicle localization of CRL. Beside vesicles and plastids, CRL localizes in mitochondria.
