A study on recycling firm in a sound material-cycle society

本文分析了废旧产品数量的波动、回收技术的改进和环境法规对设施选址的影响。我们发现，当使用过的产品的变化很大，他们变得不愿意找到一个回收设施。我们还发现，过于严格的环境管制导致国内地区的产量下降。我们表明，减少使用产品的变化是有效的促进回收。此外，我们还研究了收集系统对需求波动和外生收集量的响应。研究结果表明，当废旧产品的回收率因回收者的努力而降低时，市场回收体系可以实现更大、更稳定的回收量。

This paper analyzes the effect of the fluctuations of the amount of used products, recycling technology improvement and the environmental regulation to the facility location. We found that when the variation of used products is large, they become reluctant to locate a recycling facility. We also found that too strict environmental regulation lead to decrease production in domestic regions. We show that the reduction of the variation of used product is effective for the promotion of recycling. Furthermore we examine the response of collection systems to fluctuations in demand and exogenous collection amount. We reveal that the market collection system can achieve greater and more stable amount of collection, when the collection of used product become more lower because of effort of collector.
