项目摘要

本年は研究の最終年度として、課題に対応した研究成果をまとめ、アウトプットを出すことを目指した。具体的には、地方圏に立地する企業の社史の分析を、二年目までの研究成果を踏まえたうえで、定量・定性の両面から展開した。結果、アンケート調査を実施しなかった点など、途中の分析の結果を踏まえた手法面での変更は生じたものの、三年間を通して、当初の意図通りの研究成果を挙げることに成功したといえよう。計画時に提示した要因に加え、企業の立地を促進する要因として、イノベーションへの着目を行い、それとの関連において企業立地が検証された。研究課題開始時に想定していた物的環境よりも、ソフトなつながりの重要性が示された。以下に詳述する。まず実際の企業行動のプロセスにおいて、二年目までの研究で明らかになっていた取引関係や金融関係（以下、明示的な紐帯と称する）・コミュニケーションの場（以下、暗黙的紐帯と称する）が作用していることを確認した。そのうえで明示的な紐帯と暗黙的な紐帯を統合的に分析することを目指した。具体的には、創業時に各企業が引き起こすイノベーションに着目し、どういった紐帯がこれに寄与しているかを分析した。刊行されている企業の社史を用い、そこで提供されている豊富な情報をもとに議論を展開した。この分析を通じて、人的資本に限らず、社会関係資本が創業時のイノベーションに大きく貢献していることが確認された。また、明示的な紐帯と暗黙的な紐帯、臨時的と安定的、地域内と地域外といった紐帯を複合して持つことの強みが示され、これを併せ持つUターンによる創業が地方においてはイノベーションを進める重要な役割を果たしていることが明らかになった。
