A Pilot Study of Tele-psychological Support for Japanese ResidentsOverseas

近年来，随着经济和文化全球化的加剧，日本海外居民的数量迅速增加。与此同时，由于文化和生活方式的差异，患有精神健康恶化的日本侨民人数也有所增加。本研究试图将基于互联网的远程心理支持付诸实践，以促进大学生的心理健康，这是我国心理健康政策所忽视的。特别是，对日本侨民的心理健康和求助行为进行了调查，并仔细审查了他们中许多人居住的主要省份的心理卫生资源和管理法律。作为一项先导性研究，对远程心理干预的有效性进行了检验。

With increased globalization of economy and culture, the number of Japanese residents overseas rapidly increases in recent years. At the same time, the number of Japanese expatriates, who suffers from mental health deterioration, also increases because of the cultural and lifestyle differences. This study tried to put internet based tele-psychological support into practical use for the purpose of contributing to promote their mental health, which was overlooked so far by our mental health policy. In particular, mental health and help seeking behavior of Japanese expatriates was investigated and mental health resources and governing law of the main provinces where many of them live were scrutinized. As a pilot study, the effectiveness of tele-psychological intervention for them was examined.
