The aim of this study is to explain Georges Bataille(1897-1962)'s early works, especially his articles published in his total cultural journal "Documents"(1929-1931) . Our main point of view was a cultural pluralism. As the result, we could elucidate his ambition, which consists in criticizing, relativizing and reanimating his contemporary occidental culture by up-to-date materials of archaeology, ethnography and modern arts ; the ego-centricity is his target. This elucidation was made open to the public by several articles and colloquiums.
