This study ained to investigate the efficacy of a scale to assess the level of patients' willingness to independently move between a bed and wheelchair without healthcare providers watching them, which is the minimum physical assistance, among those in a convalescent stage of stroke. The scale was devised based on clinical judgments made by experienced nurses. To assess inter-and intra-rater reliabilities of the scale, an evaluation interval of 1 week was considered approoriate. Among the 8 scale items, the inter-rater reliability of 2 items was debatable. Also, a nationwide survey of nurses working on a convalescent rehabilitation ward revealed that they regarded all scale items as impotant when assessing patients' willingness to move without healthcare providers watching them.

本研究旨在调查一种量表的有效性，该量表用于评估中风恢复期患者在没有医疗保健提供者观察的情况下在床和轮椅之间独立移动的意愿水平，这是最低限度的身体帮助。该量表是根据有经验的护士的临床判断设计的。为了评估量表的评定者间和评定者内的信度，认为1周的评估间隔是适当的。在8个量表项目中，有2个项目的评分者间信度存在争议。此外，一项对在康复病房工作的护士进行的全国性调查显示，在评估患者在没有医疗保健提供者监视的情况下移动的意愿时，他们认为所有量表项目都很重要。
