I attempted to design an educational program with which students can gain authentic insight into the environment. Environmental literature will be the primary catalyst for increasing students' environmental consciousness. This program comprises three components spread across three semesters:<The 1st semester>: Students will peruse "nature writing" works, so as to become more familiar with reading books. It will enable them to access literary works. It will also empower them to contemplate the complex relationship "nature and humanity." <The 2nd semester>: Students will peruse environmental literature, with a focus on titles sharing the theme of "nature as environment." It will enable them to develop a deeper understanding of the relationship "nature and humanity". <The 3rd semester>: Students will peruse environmental literature, with a focus on titles sharing the theme of "sense of place" and "identity." This will allow them to develop a sense of their own environmental consciousness.
