To evaluate the safety of thalidomide for retina, we examined electroretinogram(ERG) in rats before and 7 days after injection of thalidomide in vitreous. ERG response of the rats after injection of thalidomide was not significant different from that of the rats before injection. This result suggests that the injection of thalidomide in vitreous is not toxic for retina of rats.
