项目摘要

本研究は談話の観点から、談話モデルを理論的な枠組みとし、日本語と中国語の文脈指示詞「コ・ン」、「这・那」に関する問題の解決に向けて、「語りのモード」、「情報伝遠モード」および「対話モード」の観点から考察を行いました。本年度の研究結果から、それぞれの談話モードにおける日本語と中国語の文脈指示詞の選択原理が明らかになり、両者の異同も判明しました。具体的には、語りのモードと情報伝達モードにおいては、両言語の文脈指示的用法はよく似ていることが分かりました。ソと「那」は、話し手が自分のみ保有している属性情報を利用せず、聞き手との共通の言語文脈領域に登録済みの談話指示子に再度言及し、それに新たな属性情報をアップデートするために用いられることが明らかになりました。これに対して、コと「这」は、話し手が情報の占有者として談話を構成している場合、自らの共有知識領域に予め格納されたより豊かな属性情報を利用しながら、言語文脈領域に登録された談話指示子を指すときに使われます。なお、コと「这」は談話モデルの埋め込みが行われた場合にも用いられます。一方で、日本語と中国語の「言語文脈領域から共有知識領域への転送原則」の違いによって、目の前に聞き手がいる対話モードにおいては、両言語の文脈指示詞的用法も異なる振る舞いを示していることが明らかになりました。日本語の場合には、話し手の発話によって聞き手の言語文脈領域にコピーされた談話指示子とその属性情報は、談話セッションが終わってしかるべき時間が経過した後、共有知識領域へ転送されることになります。ただし、しかるべき時間が経過していなければ、聞き手の共有知識領域に談話指示子とその属性情報が転送されず、もちろんそれにアクセスすることもできません。したがって、聞き手は自分の言語文脈領域にコピーされた談話指示子とその属性情報をデフォルトのソで指すほかありません。しかし、中国語では時間とは関係なく、聞き手の言語文脈領域に新たに登録された談話指示子とその属性情報は、直ちにその共有知識領域にも転送されます。このため、聞き手はいつでもそれを利用できるため、「这」を用いることができると考えられます。
