项目摘要

研究の主題は「経験の理論としての超越論的観念論の批判的検討―第二類推を手がかりとして―」である。本年度に遂行した研究内容は、当初の予定通り、カントは超越論的観念論の立場をとることによって、超越論的原則論で何を証明しようとしたのか、ということを明らかにし、その上でカントの超越論的観念論自体を批判的に検討することを試みることである。成果としては、超越論的観念論自体の批判にまでは到達できなかったが、カントの有していた問題意識を背景として原則論を読み直し、原則論で何が果たされようとしたのかを關明することは大部分果たされたと考える。以下にその要旨を簡単に述べる。そもそもカントにとって根本的な問題意識は、「概念」と「実在」との対立にある。カントは批判期以前からこの対立を明確に意職しているが、批判期においてこの対立の解消が「直観」という理論装置を軸に果たされようとする。しかしながら、まさにこの点において、「証明」ということに関して以下のような問題が現れることになる。すなわち、一方で、概念に対する証明はその普遍性において利点を持つが、その概念が指し示す実在に対して妥当するかどうかは、また、その概念にそもそも実在が対応するかどうかすら未決定なままである。他方で、直観は明らかに実在を指し示すように思われるが、それに対する証明は普遍性を持ちえない(その直観が構成されたものではない限り)。以上の問題意臓のもとでカントが取り組んだのは、具体的な直観や実在の「条件」を概念として取り扱い、その概念に対して証明を行うことである。つまり、原則論で主題とされる概念(各々の原則論で扱われる主語概念)は、人間の「感性」を通じた認職の仕方を考察する際に、必然的に生じるわれわれの認識様式に関する概念であり、それらの概念に対して証明を遂行することがカントの原則論での目的であったと理解できるのである。
