・森林所有の小規模分散性を特徴とする日本の森林において、入会林野は数少ないまとまった面積の森林である。地域一体の森林整備に向けて、利用と管理の共同性という特質を持つ入会林野の管理は、今後の森林管理問題を考える上で注目すべき存在といえよう。いま入会林野は、林野への関心の薄れや管理の担い手の減少、また開発圧力を背景とする大きな変化の渦中にある。一方、国の林政では施業の集約化に取り組んでいるが、入会林野はその中核としても期待される。入会林野において重要な意味を持つ入会権の内容は、法社会学で「生ける法」と呼ばれるように、入会集団の行動や規範によって揺れ動くものであり、古くて新しい問題であり続けてきた。しかし、近年その実態はほとんど明らかにされていない。・本研究は、変容① : 混住化地域における入会集団の動態、変容② : 林野の所有形態が入会集団の構成原理に及ぼす影響、変容の要因解明 : 入会集団の構成原理を決定づける要因、を把握することで、入会林野の現代的変容とその要因を明らかにすることを目的とする。・入会林野研究は様々な研究分野からの蓄積があるため、本年度も引き続き各研究分野における先行研究のレビューを行った。・また、地域により入会林野のあり方は非常に多様であるため、本年度は熊本県において入会林野の管理についての現地調査を実施した。・研究の成果は学会での口頭発表および論文の投稿を行った。
