Dynamics of the living landscape of pastoralists and its preservation in Inner Mongolia, China

本研究旨在从文化景观保护的角度了解内蒙古自治区牧民生活空间的动态变化，通过分析，明确了内蒙古自治区牧民生活空间的分布、利用状况及其变化。由于草地分布的不平衡性，草地面积减少，草地景观要素发生变化。此外，由于牲畜和人们聚集的地方是分散的，以响应自然条件的季节变化，这是很难把握的季节变化作为一个整体的景观。需要通过进一步分析牧民的相邻群体网络，与当地研究人员合作制定保护策略。

This research aims to understand the dynamics of the living space of pastoralists from the cultural landscape preservation point of view in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.As a result of the analysis, the following points of the distribution and state of the use of pastureland and their change have become clear. Due to the distribution imbalance of the pasturelands, there are decreases of pasture ranges, and the consequent transitions of landscape factors thereof. Also, as the places where the stock and people gather in response to the seasonal change of the natural conditions are dispersedly settled, it is becoming difficult to grasp the seasonal change as a total landscape. It is required that, by further analyzing the networks of neighboring groups of the pastoralist, to map out a preservation strategy in collaboration with the local researchers.
