物語を読むときには, 読者はその物語世界に没入し, 文体に注目したり登場人物の行動などから自己洞察を深めたりといった物語体験をすることがある。本研究では物語体験の1)下位概念間の関係, 2)心理特性との関連, 3)読みにおける役割について検討を行っている。本年度はこれらの検討のために調査, 実験データの再分析, および関連するトピックについての実験を行った。まず調査的検討において, 読解時の没入状態を測る尺度として移入尺度(Green & Brock, 2000)の日本語版を作成し信頼性と妥当性の検討を行った。因子分析の結果, 移入尺度は没入, 感情, イメージという3因子で構成されている可能性が示唆された一方, 尺度全体の信頼性係数は十分なものであり, 咽子を仮定した測定も可能であると考えられた。また, 並存的妥当性を検討するため報告者の作成した日本版文学反応質問紙(LRQ)との関連の検討では両者は有意な正の相関を示し, 移入尺度の妥当性が示唆された。次に再分析では, 一昨年に行った実験的検討(小山内・楠見, 2012)のデータを用いて, 物語読解時の没入体験が読解時間に及ぼす効果を健闘した。その結果, 没入得点が高いほど読解時間が短くなることが示され, 没入体験が読解, とりわけ状況モデル構築を促進する可能性が示唆された。最後に, 関連する検討として, 読解時に別の人と同じ物語を読んでいるときに読解後の物語の説明がどう変化するかを検討した。その結果, 発話に伴う固有名詞数は同じ物語を呼んでいる条件で少なくなる傾向が見られ, そばにいる他者が同じ物語の知識を持っているという情報が読解やその説明に影響することが推測された。以上のような結果は, 物語理解とそれに伴う思考との関連を解明し, 語りを通した他者の体験の理解という, 人間の社会性を支える重要な側面の統合的解明に役立つものと考える。
