项目摘要

今年度は、18世紀のスコットランドの哲学者デイヴィッド・ヒュームの哲学を「確率概念を媒介した行為論」として合理的に再構成する研究の総括として、前年度で行った現代行為論と統計科学理論についての研究を継続して進めつつ、ヒューム哲学研究と現代行為論・統計科学理論研究を統合する取り組みを行った。（１）ヒューム哲学の合理的再構成に関する研究としては、（a）最近十年にわたるヒューム研究の現状をサーベイすることで、本研究の学術的位置づけを確認しつつ、（b）「意志の弱さ」に関するヒュームの議論が徳の観点から人間の合理性を分析するという姿勢に彼の独自性があることを明らかにした。この研究の成果は、ヒューム哲学が基本的に人間の行為・実践の観点から科学の基盤をとらえなおすだという前年度で得られた知見を後押しするだけでなく、人間の行為・実践の中核をかたちづくる合理性が徳の観点から分析されるべきだというヒュームの視点が哲学的・哲学史的に見て今日的な意義をもつことをも示している。（２）現代行為論と統計科学理論に関する研究としては、（c）「決定論と自由」の問題を考察する上では、「意志決定」や「因果性」といった概念の哲学的分析が急務であること、また、（d）「確率概念を媒介した行為論」が、現代行為論における「決定論と自由」の問題に対して新たな視座を与える可能性を秘めていることを、今後の研究の見通しとして得た。この研究の成果は、行為・実践に関する哲学研究と個別科学研究の一つの接点のありかを示すものであり、統計的因果推論に関する個別科学研究が急速な発展を遂げている現在において哲学の役割を問い直すという重要な視点を提供するものである。

The future research will be conducted in a timely manner. The results of this research are related to philosophical research and individual scientific research. The results of this research are related to statistical causal inference. The results of this research are related to the rapid development of individual scientific research.
