本年度は研究課題の最終年度であり、申請書記載の最後の課題である、ネットワークモデルを用いた流通市場の分析に必要なデータの収集を行なった。4月から7月にかけて、インドネシアのパジャジャラン大学の協力のもとで、ガルッ県のジャガイモを取り扱う商人1273名の母集団リストを作成し、300名の無作為抽出調査を実施した。また、これまでの研究成果を博士論文の一部にまとめた。まず、商人のネットワークに関するデータベース作成に必要な、名前、所在地によるサンプル間の識別作業に時間がかかり、サンプル特性に関する分析をするに留まった。基本的な調査結果として、生産地における小規模な商人と大規模な商人の取引関係は当初の予想よりも観察されなかった。しかし、首都ジャカルタの大規模商人と相対する産地商人に関する貴重なデータとして有用であると考えられた。つまり、去年度までの成果と組み合わせることで、本研究の主目的である商人を通じた都市と農村の相互関係を検討できるデータベースだと考えられる。分析方法に若干の修正が必要であるものの、来年度中には解析が完了する予定である。次に、これまでに行なった、都市商人の地域間比較、商人が形成する取引制度による野菜小農の市場参加に関する研究を博士論文の一部としてまとめた。後者に関しては、東ジャワ州と西ジャワ州の野菜農家をサンプルとし、非公式な制度である収穫前取引の効果の測定を行なった。これらの研究成果は国際会議での報告、雑誌論文への投稿を予定している。
