项目摘要

平成２６年度は,５月，および８月から９月にかけてミャンマー連邦ヤンゴン市インセイン地区でフィールドワークを行い，アショー・チン語(チベット・ビルマ語派クキ・チン語支南部チン語群)の文法事項に関する聞き取り調査を行ったほか，様々な物語や文例のデータも収集できた。昨年度に引き続き，ヤンゴン市内にあるアショー・チン語話者のキリスト教団体 Asho Chin Baptist　Conference およびアショー・チン言語文化委員会から全面的な協力を受けての言語調査であったが，今回は研究結果の話者コミュニティー還元にあたり，現代のアショー・チン語における言語使用状況や，アショー・チン語の学校教育への導入計画，各種方言をはじめとした社会言語学的な情報や，アショー・チン語話者を取り巻く文化および政治に関する背景事情についても教わった。一方，日本国内では昨年度に引き続きアショー・チン語初等読本の翻訳作業を進めたほか，フィールド先で収集した言語データの整理・分析を行いながら，東京大学言語学論集や九州大学言語学論集に論文を投稿した。また，現地研究者および日本国内の言語研究者からの助言を受け，日本言語学会第148回大会では『アショー・チン語における人称標示と inverse marker ma-』と題してアショー・チン語における逆行に関する口頭発表も行っている。現在は，これまでに得られた言語データをもとに，アショー・チン語の参照文法と語彙集を執筆しているほか，アショー・チン語による物語など，各種言語データをアーカイブスに登録するための準備も進めている。
