项目摘要

報告者は,ミャンマー連邦におけるチベット・ビルマ語派クキ・チン語支の一言語,ティディム・チン語を類型論および記述言語学的な立場から考察している。今年度は,これまでにミャンマーのフィールド調査で得た言語データをもとに,本来の研究の目的であるティディム・チン語(ミャンマー連邦)文法の包括的な記述を中心に行った。その為,フィールド調査も1カ月以内に抑え,主に国内で言語データの整理と分析,そして文法記述の作業に専念することにした。ティディム・チン語の文法書をほぼ書き上げ,現在は英語へ翻訳するとともに,データの不足から文法書の中で扱えなかった文法現象を探し出し,次のフィールド調査の準備を進めている。これまでにティディム・チン語の包括的な文法書が無かったことから言語学全般にとっても重要性の高いものであると評価できる。また,少数言語のデータ公開を目的として,言語ダイナミクス科学研究プロジェクト(LingDy)の若手研究支援プログラム「少数言語の言語資料のデータベース作成とオンライン公開」というプロジェクトにも研究協力者として参加しているほか,同プロジェクトがハワイ大学と共同で行っている文法スケッチ(英語)作成のプログラムにも執筆者として参加している。さらに,東京外国語大学アジア・アフリカ言語文化研究所の共同研究員として,「チベット・ビルマ系言語から見た文法現象の再構築2:文の特徴づけと下位分類」という共同研究にも携わっており,平成23年度には論文として成果論集に掲載される予定である。
