Self-management among home-based individuals with cervical spinal cord participating in community activities

本研究的目的是探讨居家CSCI患者的自我管理能力，并了解他们如何使自己的生活有意义。采用定性设计。本研究采用半结构式家庭访谈法，对9名参与者进行访谈，这些参与者均属于某地区CSCI自助小组，并担任该小组的主要角色。提取出以下类别：自给自足、有规律的生活方式以保持CSCI后的健康、获得有用的信息、与他人建立关爱关系、重新发现个人生活目标和挑战、成为积极的社区成员等。CSCI患者的自我管理围绕着重建生活和维持已获得的健康的过程展开。

The objective of the present study was to examine the self-management ability of home-based individuals with CSCI and to understand how they made their lives meaningful. A qualitative design was used. Semi-structured home interviews were conducted with 9 participants, all of whom belonged to the Self Help Group for CSCI in one prefecture and assumed the leading role there. The following categories were extracted: being self-sufficient, having a regular lifestyle to preserve one's health following CSCI, getting useful information, getting a caring relationship with others, rediscovering personal goals and challenges in life, being active members of the community, etc. Self-management among individuals with CSCI revolves around the process of rebuilding one's life and maintining the health gained.
