本研究の第一年目の計画は資料収集と研究準備の段階を設定しております。今年度は一連の図書館、博物館、史料館で19世紀後半における長崎、浦塩、上海と海底電信に関する史料収集を行った。具体的に長崎市では海底線史料館、長崎歴史文化博物館、長崎県立図書館で、上海市では上海市図書館、上海市档案館、上海市電信博物館でウラジオストク市立ゴーリキー図書館、国立遠東大学図書館、国立アルセーニエフ総合博物館、アムール地区研究会図書館で文献資料収集した。集めたロシア語の史料の一部を英語に翻訳してもらいました。又はデンーマクの学者の協力を得て、大北電信会社の営業報告書の一部を入手した。極東アジア都市史と通信史の先行研究も購入した。さらに資料収集と共に、中国ロシアの研究者と都市史、通信史について有意義な交流が出来ました。これらの研究活動によって、19世紀後半から20世紀に初期にかけて長崎、浦塩、上海における「通信事情」と研究状況を解明することが出来ました。言うまでもなく、これらの研究活動は本研究の基盤である、こらから、史料の補足と分析する必要がある,これに基づいて、技術史、都市史等の諸分野の最新研究に照準し極東アジア地域通信史への新視角を構築することが出来ると信じている。

The first year of this study is planned to include data collection and study preparation stages.
