项目摘要

「反因果説に基づく反自然主義的な行為観の構築」という本研究プロジェクトの第3年目の本年度は、行為に関する「選言説」と呼ばれる立場を整理し、そのうちのあるバージョンを擁護することを主目標とした。行為に関する選言説は、行為にとって重要な三つの要素に関連して、三つの種類に分類される。その三つの要素とは、身体動作・意図・理由である。理由に関する選言説についてはすでに前年度に研究を進めたので、本年度の主な研究対象は身体動作の選言説と、意図の選言説であった。行為の反因果説に対立する因果説によれば、何らかの行為がなされるためには、ある身体動作が何らかの意図によって引き起こされたのではなければならない。この主張を導き出すために、意図の共通要素説と、身体動作の共通要素説が前提となる。意図の選言説と身体動作の選言説は、そうした前提をそれぞれ拒否することによって、因果説を導くことを防ぐ。まず身体動作の選言説に関しては、行為に関わる身体動作と、行為とは無関係な身体動作との間の比較が問題となり、身体動作の選言説は、二つの身体動作は同種のものではないと主張する。本研究は、身体動作の選言説を擁護するための理論構築を行い、その研究成果を、2016年6月6日に立正大学で開かれた国際ワークショップTaipei-Tokyo Workshop in Philosophyにおいて発表した。次に意図の選言説に関しては、行為へと実現した意図と、行為へと実現しなかった意図との間の比較が問題となり、意図の選言説は、二つの意図は同種のものではないと主張する。本研究は、意図の選言説を擁護するための理論構築を行い、その研究成果を、2016年11月26日に台湾の東呉大学で開かれた国際ワークショップSoochow International Workshop on “Knowledge and Action”において発表した。
