项目摘要

今年度は、ダルマキールティの『プラマーナ・ヴァールティカ』第1章「自己のための推理」アポーハセクション（PV I 40－185）の翻訳研究を基礎研究としながら、それをもとにアポーハ論の存在論的側面に焦点を当てて分析を行った。ダルマキールティの論じるアポーハ（排除）には、認識の持つ＜排除作用＞という認識論的側面と共に、外界の存在物が持つ他の存在物からの＜差異＞という存在論的側面がある。前年度までの研究で、前者についてはその基盤となっている思想を解明したので、今年度からはダルマキールティのアポーハ論の要となる存在論におけるアポーハについて研究に着手した。研究するにあたって、1)思想史的アプローチを行うための資料準備を開始した。漢訳しか現存しないため現時点では十分な研究がなされていない、ディグナーガの『取因仮設論』がダルマキールティの＜差異＞の概念の原点となる。このことは今までのアポーハ論研究において看過されてきたと言っても過言ではない。この作品は同じく漢訳のみが現存するサンガバドラの『順正論』からの影響が色濃く現れている。そしてその背景には仏教学派における時間論に関する議論がある。そこで、サンスクリット原典の現存する著作からこれらのフラグメント回収を行うと共に、初期仏教文献の翻訳研究を作成した。2)また、仏教時間論、存在論、バラモン教諸学派の普遍論の分野での議論を追い思想的影響関係の検証を行うことで、ダルマキールティの存在論的アポーハ解釈が生まれてくる思想背景を探った。その上で、3)ダルマキールティが仏教内外から取り入れたこれらの思想が、彼によってどのように変容させられ彼の思想体系に組み込まれたかを解明し、従来の研究において指摘されてきたダルマキールティの思想体系上の弱点がどのような必然性のもとに生じてきたかを明らかにし、従来の見解に代わる視点を提供した。
