项目摘要

本研究課題では、研究1として、ヒトを含む霊長類において、血縁関係にない個体間で利他行動の進化を可能にする互恵性がどのように成立しているのかを検討する。研究2として、霊長類の利他性に「遺伝」、「内分泌系」、「育ち・経験」、「社会関係・社会的能力」の要因がどのように影響しているのかを検討する。研究1では、ニホンザルとヒト幼児において、既に取得した行動データの分析、比較を行った。その結果、ニホンザルとヒト幼児では、利他行動の交換において、直接互恵性が最も強く働いていた。評価型間接互恵性は、ヒト幼児では2番目に重要であったが、ニホンザルでは確認されなかった。一般互恵性は、ヒト幼児で見られたが、それほど重要ではなかった。研究2では、ニホンザルにおいてオキシトシン受容体遺伝子(OXTR)の多型が社会性・利他性の個体差に影響するという結果の論文化を進めた。平成28年度中の掲載には至らなかったため、平成29年度前半での掲載を目指す。OXTR遺伝子とオキシトシン濃度が両方とも社会性と関連していたことから、交互作用が存在するのかを分析した結果、OXTRが利他性・社会性に与える効果は、体内のオキシトシンの濃度変化を介するものではなく、オキシトシン濃度の影響と独立である可能性が高いことが示唆された。つまり、オキシトシン濃度とオキシトシン受容体における変化の両方が親和的な社会性や利他性を独立に制御している可能性が示唆された。また、新たな性格関連候補遺伝子として、バソプレシン受容体遺伝子の多型と社会性の関連も分析した。その結果、バソプレシン受容体遺伝子のプロモーター5領域(AVPR-5)において、Shortのホモタイプの個体は、Longタイプをを保持する個体に比べて毛づくろいを行う量が多かった。本研究から、バソプレシン受容体遺伝子の多型もニホンザルの社会交渉の個体差に影響することが明らかになった。
