今年度は消化器外科手術場面３件（合計11時間）のビデオデータを収集し，いくつかの研究課題をまとめる作業に着手した．まず外科医による医療推論では，知覚された対象が外在化されることがワークを構成する要素になっているさまを記述する分析を進めている．見えている対象をその場の活動に適切な形で（あるいはその活動を構成する部分として）いかに記述するのかという定式化の課題と，その見えの対象をどう提示するかという提示上の課題のふたつが参与者らに乗り越えられている．この結果は，８月のアメリカ社会学会にて報告され，現在，論文化の最中である．また，触覚が外科手術活動における様々な行為を達成する際の資源となっていることを，手術器具で対象を触りながら同定作業をする行為の分析を通して記述している．この知見は，3月に「触覚と視覚」ワークショップで報告された．まだ彫琢していく必要があるが，来年度中には発表と投稿することを目指す．分析の途中経過は，受入研究者のゼミやデータセッションでも発表し，分析の整合性を図った．また，研究協力をいただいている医師，工学者らと定期的に行っている3D-CGシミュレーション画像プロジェクト全体会議（3ヶ月に1度），日本消火器外科学会，筑波大学主催「ICT時代の『手術』の進化ワークショップ」でも，以下の分析経過を報告した．１）画像が上記した医療推論を行う際の前提となる根拠として言及されている，２）またその根拠となっている画像自体は，実際の手術の目的にそって選択的に再現された表象であるため「見れば分かる」証拠として認識されている．副鼻腔モデルを利用した内視鏡下副鼻腔手術訓練データについては，昨年度の分析結果を論文にまとめるための作業を行っている．
