项目摘要

１．日本の都市における社会経済的な居住者特性と近隣生活施設へのアクセシビリティとの関係を明らかにすることで、空間的観点から社会的公平性について検討した。社会経済的な居住分化が顕著な大阪都市圏において、複数の公共・民間の生活近隣施設へのアクセシビリティが各施設への最近隣距離によって計測されたが、第一に、米国でみられたような居住者の社会経済的水準の高さとアクセシビリティの良さとの相関関係は一律には確認されなかった。しかし、両者の関係は施設の種類や地区の人口密度によって変化することが明らかになった。第二に、主成分分析やクラスター分析を併用し、地区のアクセシビリティを総合的に評価することで、その地域的なパターンが可視化され、地区の社会経済的水準が低くアクセシビリティも不便な地域の存在も明らかになった。２．居住者の社会経済的特性と都市内での教育水準の空間的不均衡との関係を明らかにした。まず大阪市で公表されている学校別の学力テスト結果の空間分布には、都市の空間構造に対応した教育水準の不均衡が存在し、社会地区類型と通学する学校の教育水準には一定の関係が見出された。また社会地区類型間で教育水準格差が存在することも示唆され、これにより学校間の教育水準の変動の約半分が説明された。ここでの分析には、前年度に引き続きジオデモグラフィクスデータを用いたが、地域間や社会集団間の教育格差を明らかにするだけでなく、空間的公正の観点からそれらの格差解消に向けた政策ターゲットの特定において有用であることも示された。アクセシビリティや教育水準はいずれも居住環境を規定する主要な要因であり、これまで日本では関心の薄かった近隣スケールの社会経済的な居住分化と関連付けられる空間的公平性について検討することができた。なお、一連の研究の成果については論文として取りまとめ、査読付き学術誌に掲載されたほか、一部は投稿中である。
