本研究の課題は、ペルーアマゾンの氾濫原で半遊動的生活を送ってきたシピボが、開発を持ち込む外部者との関わり合いを深めるなかで、どのような生活戦略を送ってきたのか/いるのかを明らかにしようとするものである。また、その開発の導入背景や外部者の意図も分析対象に含めることで、現在のペルーアマゾン先住民社会をめぐる開発動向についても同時に明らかにしようとするものである。最終年度となる2018年度は、アマゾン地域全域における先住民と開発に関する議論の文献整理を行うとともに、本研究の相対化を行った。商業伐採や牧草地への開拓といった開発によって先住民人口がある一定期間に減少した後に先住民政策を実施したブラジルと異なり、上流域を有するペルー、ボリビア、エクアドルは、先住民を対象とする政策導入の背景が類似している可能性が考えられた。一方で、アマゾンにおける開発（商業伐採や鉱物採掘）の地域的（国別）特徴を整理し、先住民の行う各生業（農耕、漁労、狩猟採集）へ及ぼす影響について明らかにするとともに、その地域差について考察した。また本研究は、将来的に、アマゾン熱帯林だけではなく、ラテンアメリカの熱帯林全域に対象を広げ、そこに居住する先住民と開発の関係について研究を発展させることを視野に入れているが、その準備段階として、中米熱帯林地域の先住民集落において生活実態調査を実施した。それによって、今後の研究における新たな分析視点となりうる着想を得ることができた。

The subject of this study is to provide information on the nature of life in the flood plain, and to provide information on the nature of life in the flood plain. The background of development and the intention of outsiders are analyzed. The objects include the development trend of indigenous society, the current situation and the future situation. In the final year of 2018, we will organize and publish the related documents of the indigenous people in the whole region and carry out the correlation of this research. The background of policy introduction is similar to that of policy introduction in the case of commercial logging, pastureland development, reduction of aboriginal population for a certain period of time, and variation in aboriginal policies. On the one hand, the (national) characteristics of the areas where development (commercial logging and mineral extraction) takes place are sorted out, and the activities of the aborigines, various industries (farming, fishing, hunting and gathering), and their impacts are examined in detail. This study aims to investigate the living conditions of the indigenous populations in the tropical forest region in the future, and to explore the relationship between indigenous populations and development in the tropical forest region.
