项目摘要

本研究が対象とする戦間期ポーランド東部国境地域はリトアニアやベラルーシなど広い範囲に及ぶが、昨年度までリトアニアやガリツィア（現在のウクライナ西部）を中心に研究を行ってきた。本年度はウクライナ東部出身の二名の作家に焦点を当てて研究を行ってきた。その一人が、現在ウクライナのヴィーンヌィツャ州に位置するカリヌィークに生まれ、キエフで学んだ後、ポーランド独立後はワルシャワで活躍したポーランド語作家ヤロスワフ・イヴァシュキェヴィチ（1894-1980）である。本研究では、とりわけその初期の詩と小説を考察し、イヴァシュキェヴィチを、ミツキェヴィチやスウォヴァツキといった作家に代表されるポーランド・ロマン主義の伝統を引き継ぐと同時に、自らの故郷喪失の経験に即して、その文学的伝統を発展させようとした作家として位置づけなおした。その成果は「故郷喪失のポーランド文学」（『立命館言語文化研究』第29巻3号所収）として発表した。また、同じくウクライナに生まれ、キエフで学んだ作家にドヴィド・ベルゲルソン（1884-1952）がいるが、彼は20年代にベルリンで、30年代以降モスクワで活躍したユダヤ系作家であり、一貫してイディッシュ語で書いた。デル・ニステルと並んで20世紀のイディッシュ文学を代表する作家でありながら、日本への紹介が遅れている一人である。そのベルリンでの亡命時代の代表作「逃亡者」を西成彦氏との共同で翻訳した（西成彦編訳『世界イディッシュ短篇選』岩波文庫所収）。このように言語ごと地域ごとに研究を行ってきたが、今後はこれまでの研究を発展させる形で、戦間期ポーランド東部国境地域の文学を総合的に研究し、その成果を、より広く国内外に発信していく必要があると考える。

This study focuses on the study of regional differences in the eastern part of the country, and on the study of regional differences in the western part of the country.
