まず、植民地朝鮮の民衆宗教を考察する上で避けて通れないテーマである『鄭鑑録』の問題を中心に考察した。『鄭鑑録』は秘伝された予言書であり、筆写のかたちで民間において流通したため、書誌学的な視点からの検討が重要である。そのため、現在の視点でなるべく多様な版本を入手することを念頭において蒐集活動をおこなった。とりわけ、日本と韓国を往来しながら、『鄭鑑録』の諸版本の蒐集をおこなったが、具体的には、韓国の国立中央図書館、奎章閣韓国研究院、釜山大学校中央図書館、日本国内においては東京大学の小倉文庫を訪問し史料調査をおこなった。『鄭鑑録』研究がもつ意義は大まかに二つに分けられるが、一つは前述したように朝鮮自生の民衆宗教、そのなかでも基層民衆の生活や文化に根を下ろしながらも独自の思想体系を展開していた、いわゆる後天開闢形の宗教教団から『鄭鑑録』からの影響が色濃く現われている点である。したがって植民地朝鮮における彼ら教団の思想から、朝鮮後期からの連続と断絶を考える上に於いて有効な糸口を提供する。次に、植民地朝鮮における宗教検閲・弾圧の問題を考える際、植民地権力から發話されつつある『鄭鑑録』議論の推移と展開を分析することにおいても、その根源となる『鄭鑑録』テキストへの注目が前提作業として行われるべきであることである。一方、昨年度から取り組んでいた、大本教と普天教という日韓の近代民衆宗教にかんして、その思想的類似性とともに、宗教弾圧という側面において両教団の弾圧事件を独立した個別の事件としてではなく、その相関性を指摘しながら必然的前後関係としてとらえる視点の研究内容を、大阪歴史科学協議会帝国主義研究部会・大阪歴史学会近代史部会・日本史研究会近現代史部会合同企画2016年度近現代史サマーセミナーにおいて報告した。
