本年度は、１）論文の投稿および博士論文の日本語出版原稿の執筆、２）中長期的視野のもと、今後にもつながる資料の収集を行った。１）ー１　最終的に出版にまでは至らなかったが、執筆を続けていた植民地朝鮮における水害に関する研究の英語論文が完成に至った。朝鮮にとどまらず、同時期の台湾や沖縄、そして内地にまで射程を広げて資料を集めて検討を行ってきたため、執筆に進行が大きく遅れてしまったが、ひとまず朝鮮に内容をしぼった形での論文を仕上げた。その内容は、科学史において等閑視されてきた災害科学の検討に新しい視点を投げかけることができると期待できる。１）ー２　こちらもまだ出版にまでは至っていないが、出版社と連絡を取り合いつつ執筆を進めた。三年間を通じて地道に収集を進めてきた膨大な資料から新たに明らかになった事実を書き加えるとともに、日本近代科学史に対する新たな視点提供の検討、日本語読者を意識した文章構成の大幅な修正などに多くの時間が割かれたが、新年度中には入稿できるまでの目処が立った。２）本年度まで植民地朝鮮を中心に台湾や内地の気象事業と台風災害およびその研究に焦点を当てて広く資料を渉猟し、その検討を進めてきた。まだ論文化できていないテーマがいくつか残るなかで、戦後の状況にまで射程を広げうる多くの資料にもアクセスできた。例えば沖縄において敗戦から米軍占領下における気象事業の展開、韓国において気象学者たちの足跡と日本や冷戦との関連性など、20世紀東アジアの気象事業および台風研究を俯瞰するような大きな研究視野を得たと考える。
