In 2018, Mr. Doerfler submitted a monograph titled "Security Council Sanctions Governance" for publication by Routledge. He also published three articles in various academic journals: 1) "Constitutive mechanisms of UN Security Council practices: Precedent, pressure, ratchet effect, and council action regarding intrastate conflicts" in Review of International Studies; 2) "The Sanctions Committees between Power and Rules" (in German) in Vereinte Nationen; and 3) "Credible Commitment without Independent Regulatory Agents: Evidence from the United Nations Security Council's Compensation Commission" in Regulations & Governance.
