项目摘要

本研究は、鎌倉末期～室町期における中世荘園の変容と展開について、荘園の構成要素である名体制や村落に注目して構造的分析を加えることを目的とする。以下、今年度の成果をまとめたい。（１）検注帳の分析。本年度は、昨年度までに入力した矢野荘検注帳のデータを活用し、鎌倉末期から南北朝期における矢野荘の河成（水害の結果、耕作不能となり課税対象から外された土地）の経年的な変遷を明らかにするとともに、現況調査の成果から河成地の詳細な比定を行った。また、貞和5年（1349）に起きた水害に際して、連署起請文を提出し、年貢の損免を要求した名について、その耕地分布から、どのような名が損免要求を行っていたかを考察した。その結果、水害で被災しかつ東寺の救済対象から漏れた地域の名が損免要求を行っており、実際に起きた災害を反映して損免要求が行われていたことが判明した。（２）荘園故地の現況調査。昨年度に引き続き、矢野荘の故地である兵庫県相生市の北部山間集落で現況調査を行った。今年度は新たに2つの集落を調査対象に加え、中世検注帳に記された地名の現地比定を行うことで、山道を用いた検注ルートの存在が明らかになった。また、比較の対象として美濃国大井荘（現岐阜県大垣市）をフィールドに、城下町に残された中世荘園の痕跡を辿ることで、荘内の別相伝郷である榎戸郷・高橋郷の郷域を明らかにした。（３）デジタル化作業の推進。法隆寺領鵤荘（太子町）・東大寺領大部荘（小野市）では、1980年代から90年代に大規模かつ詳細な現況調査が行われた。しかし、調査成果の活用は必ずしも進まず、現時点では埋没した状況にある。今年度は、『大部荘故地現況調査報告書』ⅰ～ⅶ（兵庫県小野市教育委員会）の付図全20点のデジタル化を完了した。これにより、同荘の検注帳に記載された地理情報をもとに、GISソフトを用いて歴史地理的分析を行う前提が整った。
