项目摘要

池原さんは、文化人類学とパフォーマンス学を組み合わせてアートと生活が交わるサードスペースで生成する新しい発想、理論、方法論を、「隙間ショー」という形で具現化した。「隙間ショー」とは沖縄ディアスポラの歴史、現在、未来を大正区の人々、場所とイベントを通して、グローバル・レベルに至る「沖縄」という枠組みを再検討する方法論として確立された。「隙間ショー」は、関西沖縄文庫の責任者、金城馨が実践してきた様々な活動から生まれた「隙間」という政治的ポジションに、池原さんが研究するサードスペース理論を重ね合わせることで成立したコンセプトで、大正区の沖縄系コミュニティの立場や生活性を、芝居やお笑いコントで描く小演劇として構成され、出来上がった作品を、文庫が行うイベントで、演目の合い間に演じた。この方法論は、大正区の歴史や差別等の社会問題を、二項対立としてではなく隙間、第三の視点で考えるという実践の場であり、日常的なお笑いや芝居が、沖縄と大阪を繋ぐ可能性をはらむプロジェクトとして成立した。同プロジェクトが学問・芸術・生活の架け橋となり、実際に社会に貢献しうる研究方法論であることが示された結果、現在、沖縄（沖縄市コザ）で「コザX・ミクストピア研究室」が立ち上がるという成果につながった。研究室の役割は、様々な方法を実践し、語られていない歴史・物語・ミステリー（ミクストリー）をアーカイブ（保存）し、沖縄の現場と米国の架け橋となる活動の実践である。米国の研究者や多様な文化背景を持つコミュニティーとの出会いの場を提供し、現地にて文化や歴史を肌で学ぶと同時に、学ぶ側も教えることで、相互的な学びの場を積み重ねることで生まれる可能性を未来へ繋ぐ架け橋となることが期待される。同研究室は、今年の六月二日にオープンを迎える予定である。また、「隙間ショー」に関する論文を学術雑誌に投稿する予定である。
