项目摘要

本年度は資産価格バブル発生を説明する動学的一般均衡モデルの構築に取り組んだ。まず、既存の一般均衡モデルがバブルの発生を説明できない原因を考察し、その原因が資産保管にかかるコストがモデル上で考慮されていないことにあることを突き止めた。最終的に、資産保管にかかるコストをモデルに明示的に導入することによって、一般均衡モデルにおいてバブルの発生を説明することが可能となることを理論的に証明した。この発見によって、従来の一般均衡理論モデルでは考察することが不可能であったバブルの発生についてマクロ経済学の見地から分析することが可能となる。本研究は新しい基礎的な分析ツールをマクロ経済学に提供したという点において、理論的意義をもつ。バブルの発生が一般均衡モデルで説明できないという問題は1980年代から知られていたが、これといった解決策が提示されてこなかったため、この問題への解決策の一つとして本研究の結果は学術的に重要である。3月にはこの研究結果を社会に還元するため、様々な大学の研究会で報告を行った。本年度は既存の資産価格バブル一般均衡モデルの、日本のデータを用いた推定も行った。結果として、日本の平成景気に見られた株価の全体的な上昇傾向はバブルによってもたらされたものであること、株価バブルの存在を明示的に一般均衡モデルに導入すると、既存のモデルでデータフィットを改善するために導入されていたアドホックな仮定が不要になること、日本の労働の景気変動は金融市場の変動によって多くの部分が説明されること等が明らかとなった。本研究結果を法政大学ミニコンファレンスで報告し、研究成果の社会への還元をはかった。
